SLC 2016: How to Capture New Value From Your Organization

Aug. 16, 2016
Shawn Galloway of ProAct Safety will deliver the opening keynote at EHS Today’s Safety Leadership Conference.

Shawn Galloway, president and CEO of ProAct Safety, will share his presentation, “How to Capture New Value from within Your Organization,” with the audience at EHS Today’s Safety Leadership Conference on Sept. 19-21 in Pittsburgh. His keynote will be based on the 2016 book he coauthored with long-time EHS Today contributor and founder of ProAct Safety, Terry L. Mathis.

Galloway’s keynote will kick off EHS Today’s Safety Leadership Conference at 8 am on Tuesday, Sept. 20, and will focus on capturing value with discretionary effort. Galloway will share how to take the greatest strategic thinking and focus it inside your organization.

He will also participate in a “TED Talk Style Discussion on the Safety Maturity Index as it Relates to Safety Culture” along with Mark Eitzman of Rockwell Automation immediately following the keynote.

“I had the pleasure of speaking at this conference last year and was impressed by the content and audience,” Galloway said. “There has been a significant shift in leading organizations to move away from the search for new programs and focus rather on delivering sustainable value to the internal customers of the safety improvement efforts. This requires rethinking how we implement injury-prevention as well as cultural efforts, and I’m honored to have been asked to address this by delivering this year’s keynote.”

His keynote address is inspired by his and Mathis’ book, “Inside Strategy: Value Creation from within Your Organization.”
